Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of the modern study of children's memory of eyewitnesses and the application of child witnesses within court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has been honored with many award both international and national. She has consulted with numerous authorities and organizations across the world regarding policy guidelines and studies on children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was chief of the American Psychological Society's three divisions including Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
